botox , zatrzymywanie pocenia się , pocenie się , nadpotliwość Although the secretion of sweat is a natural process of the human body, excessive sweating is a serious problem for many people. They tend to be ashamed of the problem, locking themselves away from other people, makes certain job positions impossible to achieve(for example working in a lab with chemical markers). People suffering from excessive sweating know much too well how difficult this problem is in everyday life, especially since it is usually accompanied by an unpleasant smell, created when sweat is being dissolved by bacteria. Washing the skin and using a deodorant work only as a temporary solution to the problem.
The current, best known method of fighting the excessive sweating in the palm, feet and armpit area is the injection of Botox. The effects are visible after a few days and last from a few months to a year.
Using a very thin needle, the doctor injects a small amount of the Botox solution into 10-15 places, each around 1cm afar from the others, covering the armpit areas. Sometimes a colour marker is used in order to identify where the sweat secretion is the biggest and the injections should be made. The procedure lasts for around 30 minutes. After the injection of a small amount of botox, the substance blocks the nervous receptors, which affect the sweat glands' secretive function.
